Interior Design Guide Part 2: Ideal Floors and Unique Spaces

In a previous post we talked about some of the most iconic interior design styles and trends to end this year and start the next one with a comfortable, inspiring and above all stylish space.

We present the second part of our Complete Guide to Interior Design; you will fall in love with different styles and choose the ideal one for any space you want to decorate or renovate.

Interior Design Guide – Part 2:

  • Ethnic Style

Egyptian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Moroccan, African and other are what you can call, ethnic styles. This style goes far beyond allusive decoration, such as statuettes or paintings.

It is based on colors, textures, fabrics, accessories and many other elements that together give your spaces an exotic and unique feeling at the same time.

  • Wabi Sabi

Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese decoration style that focuses on the beauty of imperfection. It is in fact a philosophy of life that takes from nature 3 basic ideas: nothing is perfect, nothing is permanent, and nothing is complete.

It is distinguished by soft lines, neutral colors, as well as a certain minimalism in terms of decoration, and in general natural elements are used to achieve it.

The ideal floors are natural stone, hardwood floors and even simple concrete.

  • Romantico

Contrary to popular belief, the romantic style is not all floral prints and ruffles. This style in interior decorating is all about versatility. With style pieces can be sprinkled into almost any type of space, from rustic to contemporary.

In the romantic style, it is all about creating a warm, cozy and timeless space. It is distinguished by delicate shapes and is inspired by quaint French country houses, with traditional elements of decor and design. Nature is vital to its elements, but in terms of flooring the ideal is wood, ceramic or vinyl floors with patterned designs.

  • Boho Style

If you love to mix different textiles or buy antique furniture, the boho style is ideal for your home thanks to the artistic and colorful, besides not following patterns or being a rigid style.

The bohemian style is for those who want their homes to be full of life, culture and items from all over the world. It is one of the most special interior design styles.

While there are no rules when it comes to bohemian decor, warm earth colors are common, strong browns, greens and grays for base colors, then accessories with electric blue, fire orange, satin purple, are ideal to achieve the Boho style. As for the flooring, here you can be as creative as you want, as any flooring is ideal, although wood floors or colored and textured floors are preferred.

  • Classic style

The classic style is a refined style, rich in details both in the structure of the furniture, lighting, etc. The classic style continues to evolve, to be popular and always in trend.

This style can be adapted to people of all ages because it is elegant and very versatile. You can choose marble or ceramic floors to give a special touch.

  • Navy, Sailor or Nautical Style

Navy style is a fashion classic that has been transferred to interior design. It is inspired by the uniform of Victorian sailors; the navy style provokes those emotions that we usually associate with the sea and vacations: serenity, relaxation. It is ideal for a beach house or vacation home, but many are those who incorporate it into the spaces of their home in a subtle way.

  • Mid Century

The enduring popularity of the Mid Century style is based on many factors: clean lines, organic curves and a love of natural materials.

It is distinguished by the combination of natural materials, clean spaces and the use of wood in modern pieces. Of course hardwood floors are perfect for this style.

We hope you can identify with some of these styles in decoration for your home, because feeling comfortable and giving personality to your spaces is the best and if you wish, you can come directly to our showroom and choose the ideal floors for your new space.
